It all started as a group of GMRS, HAM, and CB radio enthusiasts meeting at the Tarboro Country Sunrise Grill. Even before that, we were already connecting and collaborating as a GMRS group, using the GMRS repeater on the D.S.S. tower in downtown Tarboro.
Over time, our group has grown into a club that includes GMRS, HAM, and CB radio operators. Many members have studied and earned their HAM licenses and are continuing to expand their knowledge in the art of radio.
We officially established our club and now meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Lewis Community Fire Department. As a growing community, we are committed to providing reliable communications when all other systems fail—while having fun and building lasting friendships along the way.
We welcome all radio hobbyists, no matter your experience level. Come join us!
Meeting spot currently 6585 McKendree Church Rd, Tarboro, NC 2786. Lewis Community Fire Dept. When 7 pm Second Thursday every month.
If you have a desire to learn about radio and help out with events come join us.
